Fort Lauderdale Dive Journal

In July I went diving in Fort Lauderdale. I was pleasantly surprised at the health of the reef and the diversity of the fishlife. Dive operations do not control your dive profile. However, the sites we went to were not of any major depth. There is a short dive briefing about the site. You and your buddy take a dive flag attached to your wrist, and proceed with your dive. The boat follows, and when you are done, you do your safety stop, rise to the surface, and they come and pick you up. The dives have some current, so you are basically doing drift diving. The visability was around 40 to 50 feet. The reef had some beautiful corals and sponges. I am hoping to get back to Fort Lauderdale in the near future and do some more diving.
