Peacock Flounder

The blue ring markings and blue spots distinguishes this flounder from other Eyed Flounders. It has an unusually long pectoral fin, which is often erect. It inhabits the sand, and sea grass areas, where it rests motionless on the bottom, blending in with the background. When it moves, it glides with a wave-like motion.
